Oral health is a priority for many, but finding a new dentist isn't always easy. At ProDental, we aim to make the process for new patients as seamless as possible.
Before receiving treatment, we recommend scheduling an initial consultation. This gives you the opportunity to meet our dentist and get to know him better. You can ask questions about the treatments we offer, and our dentist can explain how they can improve your oral health.
After your inital consultation, you can have our staff schedule your first appointment. Prior to this appointment, you'll need to complete the new patient form and provide your dental history and records. We recommend arriving at least 20 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to complete these forms. To save time, you can download the form online and complete them before your arrival.
After reviewing your dental health history, our dentist will thoroughly examine your gums, teeth and mouth. This comprehensive exam allows our dentist to evaluate the state of your dental health. Our dentist will look for signs of decay, disease and other complications. Following the exam the teeth and mouth are cleaned thoroughly before taking x-rays.
After the comprehensive exam, our dentist takes x-rays of your mouth to gain a clearer picture of the condition of your teeth and jaw. These images allow our dentist to identify cavities, bone loss and other issues. The process is entirely safe and takes just a few minutes to complete.
After the dental exam, our dentist will discuss any findings with you, such as decay, damage or gum disease and review your options for treatment. Our dentist will recommend the treatment that will offer you the greatest benefits and devise a personalized plan to restore your oral health. Our staff can provide you the total cost of the procedure and discuss payment options with you.
Once you've met with our dentist and discussed possible treatments with you, we can schedule your follow-up appointment for recommended treatments or future cleanings and exams. We recommend scheduling cleanings and exams every six months to prevent cavities and gum disease.
